Botox And Juvederm

Stephen Colm, DMD has completed the required training to become a member of the AAFE, American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Dr. Colm has been trained by experts in cosmetic surgery and facial aesthetics in the history, chemistry, indications, benefits, and optimal placement of  BOTOX® for the cosmetic benefit of our patients.  We only use BOTOX® that is supplied by Allergan.Their product is the only one approved and accepted by the FDA for cosmetic and therapeutic use.

Did you know that BOTOX® has been FDA approved for the treatment of TMJ pain, as was well as a treatment remedy for migraine headaches.
 
BOTOX® is available for our patients, usually when requested, as we keep an ample supply on hand. It is our policy to place a conservative amount of BOTOX®, allowing our patients to see their results. If an enhancement is needed, it will usually be provided, free of charge, after 14 days, as it usually takes 10-14 days for the full effects of BOTOX® to be seen.
 
Juvederm, another Allergan product, is produced from a naturally occuring substance found in the body, hyaluronic acid. This is the 'lubricant' found in joints, such as knees and hips, that allows for fluid movement. Allergan has combined hyaluronic acid with a stabilizing carrier to hold it in one area for 6-9 months before being resorbed naturally by the body. This allows us to fill in creases, such as those around the mouth, commonly called 'parentheses', in a natural and youthful way. It allows us to place a soft, natural material to make up for loss of fluid that occurs as we age.
 
Both Juvederm and BOTOX® are available for the patients of the Highlands Ranch Oral Surgery Center.
